Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks, gathering with family and binge watching your favorite TV shows. More often than not, if you’re not helping in the kitchen making mashed potatoes, you are checking out some epic Thanksgiving marathons on TV or powering up Netflix for a festive playlist.
Why not keep with the theme of the holiday, and watch these Thanksgiving TV episodes?
A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving
Enjoy Thanksgiving with your gals Rory and Lorelai as they maneuver their way through four Thanksgiving dinners with grace and stomachs of steel. Waltzing around to Richard and Emily’s formal dinner to Sookie’s deep-fried extravaganza, the Gilmore Girls know how to celebrate the day of thanks. Highlights include especially cute appearances by Jess and a drunk Sookie.
The One With All the Thanksgivings
This episode of FRIENDS is iconic and part of pop culture history. (Remember Monica’s dance with the turkey on her head?) When Ross laments the state of his life, the group goes around and tells their stories of horrible Thanksgivings, which leads to laughs but also makes Chandler face some hard truths about the guy he used to be.
The Miracle of Thanksgiving
We’re sending you and your family way back in time to the first season of Full House. Mary-Kate and Ashley are still babies and John Stamos is rocking the mullet. It’s the first Thanksgiving since his wife died, so Danny’s determined to give them the best holiday ever, but things don’t go as planned. This episode is a nice addition to both your Thanksgiving binge-watching and binge-eating.
In the first season of New Girl, Jess meets her match with the swoon-worthy Justin Long, who plays another teacher, also dresses up for Thanksgiving. While Jess like him, one of her roommates doesn’t really feel the same. Add in Schimdt’s OCD and a whole lot of trouble getting an edible dinner cooked, and you’ve got one of the funniest episodes in the show’s run.
That 70s Show
Another cleverly titled TV show episode, That 70s Show Thanksgiving episode features Eric’s sister Laurie coming home for Thanksgiving break. Hijinx ensue and while this show gives us laughs, it is always fun to look back at Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis before they married and had their own babies.
