Kaylee Giffin of The Blondielocks blogs about everything. From fashion to food, this style-meets-cuisine/home décor/beauty (deep breath) maven strives to “curate a life that is just right.”
Since starting The Blondielocks last summer, Kaylee has become one to watch in the blogoshere. She is an open and relaxed (aka smizing and smiling) model in her photographs. She is personable and sweet in her posts. She is detail-oriented and artsy when photographing the little moments that she loves. Kaylee is basically the blogger BFF you’ve been looking for.
The Canada native chatted with us via email, and we’re here to share her holiday traditions, pro blogging advice and how she juggles her busy schedule. We know you’ll be bookmarking her blog. (We’ve done the same.)
Feather Magazine: Why did you decide to start blogging?
Kaylee Giffin: After graduating college, I was home in Halifax. I was working, yet still feeling unproductive because I had been so used to being swamped with work during my last year of school. I had thought about starting a blog for quite a while and knew that if I was going to do it, that this was the perfect time. I had a background in fashion but also felt like I had so many more passions that I wanted to explore. I took a couple of weeks to plan what I wanted to write about, decided on a name, figured out WordPress, and haven’t looked back since!
FM: What serves as your inspiration for blog posts?
KG: I honestly find inspiration for blog posts everywhere! Magazines, Pinterest, Instagram and other blogs are some obvious sources, but I also get inspiration from my family, friends and just everyday conversations.
