There’s something John Stamos can apparently do besides not age (How you doin’, John?)—keep a secret! The actor made a big reveal on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night, telling the audience a Full House spin-off has been approved! Fuller House will get a 13-episode run on Netflix.
Candace Cameron Bure will reprise her role as D.J., who’s now widowed (I’m praying she wasn’t married to Steve and they they can rekindle their romance) with three boys and is living in the house she grew up in. D.J. will be joined by sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy Gibler (Andrea Barber), who come to live with her as she copes with her husband’s death and becoming a single parent. Hmm. Does this plot line sound familiar?
Stamos said the first episode will be a one-hour reunion, featuring characters you know and love, before getting into the other 12 episodes, which are more focused on the next generation. Stamos is producing the show, so we’re sure to see Uncle Jesse on it, but he wasn’t really clear on who else will be stopping by the show. Ashley Olsen has been vocal about their decision to leave the acting profession, so I’m not expecting to see her, but I can always hope for a “you got it, dude,” from Mary-Kate, right? (C’mon, humor your fans!)
The show is supposed to begin in 2016, so you have some time to prepare. I’ll start you off with an appropriate GIF.
