When something’s wrong in the neighborhood, who you gonna call? The women of Ghostbusters, right?
Earlier this month our imaginary BFF Ellen Degeneres launched a GAP Kids clothing line that encourages young people to celebrate what makes them unique. It’s helping usher in the next generation of #GirlPower, which the Ghostbusters cast and crew definitely noticed.
Melissa McCarthy—starring alongside Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in an upcoming all-female Ghostbusters movie—posted a photo of about 50 cast and crew members, with everyone except the main actresses holding up signs that describe their job titles. It turns out, there’s a pretty diverse group of talented ladies working to make this film.
Representation of genders and ethnicities is still pretty disappointing in the film industry, but images like this give young girls hope that they can jump through those hurdles.
