Hallelujah, Gilmore Girls fans, our prayers have been answered.
Netflix just closed a deal with Warner Bros. to bring back the show for four episodes, according to TVLine. Each episode will be 90 minutes long and penned by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino.
Negotiations are still ongoing with former cast members, but reports say that all of the major characters are coming back, including: Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson.
When asked about a possible relaunch of the series at a TV festival back in June, Sherman-Palladino was open to it.
“It would have to be the right everything—the right format, the right timing, it would have to be honored in a certain way,” she said. “And if it ever came around, we would all jump in and do it. And if it ever happened, I promise you I’d do it correctly.”
Let’s celebrate in true Gilmore Girls fashion—with some food!
