Meet Our Team

Brianti Downing

Editor-in-Chief

Brianti is a TV news producer by night and founding editor-in-chief of Feather Magazine by day. She loves reading chick lit, devouring the news, everything about Melissa Harris-Perry and preaching the feminist gospel to non-believers.

Sarah Kester

Executive Editor/Health Director

Sarah is a writer, editor and aspiring author. She works as a full-time editor for Valnet Inc., and her writing can be found on several sites including Elite Daily, YourTango, Fox News Magazine and YouQueen. She's obsessed with pink wine and has a serious affinity for rom-coms, spin class and binge-watching the Gilmore girls.

Alyssa Ammirato

Life Director

Alyssa is a freelance writer and editor and the Life Director at Feather Magazine. The great loves of her life (at least for now) include running, yoga, strong coffee and the Garden State. When she's not working on Feather, she's working on her book (who isn't?), planning vacations, or talking herself out of buying yet another pair of running shoes.

Sarah DeGeorge

Social Media Director

Sarah is a marketing consultant—who never took a marketing class in her life, but somehow slipped through the cracks (and enjoys it)—as well as Social Media Director for Feather Magazine. When she isn't optimizing Web pages or overseeing social media, she is most likely saving the stray cats of Philadelphia or finding the newest coffee shop for her daily caffeine fix.

Lesley Anders

Marketing Director

Lesley is a coordinator of online communications/webmaster for a University outside of Philadelphia and is a freelance digital marketer. She loves all things social media, caffeine and spending weekends watching Gilmore Girls. When she isn’t preaching her digital marketing lingo she is busy renovating her new home, online shopping (way too much), snuggling with her pup and squeezing in some wedding planning.

Ansley Pentz

Marketing Assistant

Ansley is a UF journalism junior and Feather's marketing assistant, and she previously served as the university editor at the Alligator, the largest student-run newspaper in the country. She's a loud laugher and a bad dancer.

Ashley Aminian

Entertainment Writer

Ashley is a California-based writer and recent graduate from California State University, Northridge. She has written for a variety of publications including Tiger Beat Magazine and ROAR Magazine, a feminist publication. She loves pop culture, Old Hollywood and watching "Real Housewives" by the beach.

Amanda Tarlton

Health Writer

Amanda is a freelance writer and editor who believes fitting in is overrated. After graduating from the Wake Forest University School of Business, she returned home to Baltimore where she currently does marketing for a tech startup. Her favorite things include chicklit books, pink moscato and Gilmore Girls.

Tihana Smiljanić

Life Writer

Tihana is a linguist who decided to actually use words as a means and not a goal so she's in the process of turning into a journalist, believing there is no such thing as "too late." Always online and rarely on time, though she has great plans and goals of becoming the master of organization and life in general. If she's not exploring the world or writing about it on her blog, it's 99% sure that she's indulging in her coffee.

Roxanna Coldiron

Life Writer

Roxanna writes for several magazines and provides design and communication consulting services to companies in Greater Cleveland. She received a Master of Science in Media Management from The New School in New York City and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Hiram College in Hiram, OH. As the human mother of five kitties, she has learned to create quality content with a kitten in her lap...and on her head and her desk and under her chair.

Cayla Gorsh

Social Media Manager

Cayla is a Midwestern girl from the Hawkeye state, Iowa. She currently works as a Security Dispatcher and is a Social Media Manager for Feather Magazine. She loves to read and always has a book on hand. She also has a huge passion for health and fitness. If she could and maybe will someday, would love to work for a Health or Fitness magazine.
