Like the rest of the world, you probably saw Guardians of the Galaxy this summer and fell in love with Chris Pratt, the actor who plays the ever-so-mischievous Peter Quill. Maybe it was his spot-on delivery and his newly chiseled features. Or maybe it was just his fabulous singing and dancing. Regardless, he’s Hollywood’s newest “It Guy” and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Little did you know, Pratt has been entertaining us on the small screen for years. Not only is he a talented actor and comedian, but he’s also a pretty cool guy. We’ll list our reasons why we love him and why every Feather Girl should, too.
He’s a talented comedian and improviser.
Pratt has been playing hilarious, sweet, but not too bright Andy Dwyer on NBC’s Parks and Recreationfor years. In this following clip, Andy is trying to help his boss, Leslie (Amy Poehler) feel better after she contracts the flu. The final line was improvised and is probably the funniest on the series. (Seriously though—watch Parks and Rec if you love Chris Pratt. Your love for him will only grow.)
He’s cool with the dirty fanfiction about his Guardians of the Galaxy character.
He’s just super open minded. No explanation needed.
He’s a pretty impressive rapper.
When Pratt stopped by a radio show on his press tour for Guardians, he whipped out a pretty impressive and surprisingly accurate rendition of Eminem’s “Forget About Dre.” Obviously, NSFW.
On the other hand, he’s also a pretty talented hairstylist.
Talk about the full package! Pratt is also a talented french braider. He expertly braided the hair of an intern while being interviewed on Entertainment Tonight and he regularly braids the hair of his wife, Anna Faris. Where can we sign up for an appointment at Pratt’s exclusive salon?
He’s a hilarious physical comedian.
In Parks and Rec, Pratt always attempts his character’s numerous physical stunts at least once or twice before the stunt guys takeover. But ironically enough, it’s usually Pratt’s attempts which make it into the final cut.
He understands how to work his best angles.
He’s a devoted father to his son, Jack.
What’s more adorable than a loving father and his child? Maybe a loving father and his child and a puppy, but we’ll take what we can get.
He’s just a really sweet, down-to-earth guy.
